Training Body, Mind, Heart, Soul
This was a drafted post in August 2022. I’m posting now on non-linear time because it’s been two years since my last post and I just want to highlight a pattern for myself as an example for you, whoever is reading, that it is never too late to tend, train, and share from the body, mind, heart and soul.
I can’t believe it’s been over a year since I last posted. I am very proud of the many different ways I’ve grown as a person and as an artists on and offline. The world really does race the older you get and as some patterns and practices become more normalized through time.
Recently, I quit another job that I was only in for a brief time. I am in a place of exploration when it comes to labor and monetized living. It’s so easy for me to tap out of different worlds now when I used to struggle in the past. Every year, I enter new ways of training body, mind, heart, and soul.
I drafted the title of this blog last August, but it’s reigning so true in my life as I prepare to have a performance on May 1st, a celebration of workers’ and international workers’ struggles and triumphs. It is also Marshallese Constitution or Jemenei where we celebrate our independence from U.S. colonization. The space I’m holding and sharing sound medicine, tarot divination, and meditation for I’ve called Body, Mind, Heart, Soul work.
